Rate and Review Bryant Appraisals

No emotion in this review, just facts to assist those in the future. I am a real estate agent and had thought that I have seen it all... Unfortunately that was not the case. Here is my review. To sum it up. The process with Tom Bryant was horrible, Stressfull, Slow, and inaccurate. This process was slower than any appraisal I have been involved with. And not on the lenders side. From the time Tom called me to let me know he was assigned the file, the initial appraisal took over 3 weeks. This in its self jeopardized the sales process. Lack of experience and expertise. Tom did not know the difference between high end hard wood floors with a Swedish finish and click together laminate... I was speechless. He could not comprehend materials used, didn't realize the complex had a club house, sauna, and hot tub. Had no clue what was included in the HOA dues. He also had a really difficult time understanding what the home consisted of, and could not wrap his head around the condition of the unit. His professional experience was obviously lacking. After the initial appraisal was completed, we contacted Tom with a list of items that needed to be addressed. This list consisted of items missed, or miss represented. Items that were incorrect and wrong. It was a nice communication to point out issues overlooked and neglected. Unfortunately, its was made obvious that we hurt his feelings, and in return he made it extremely clear that he would not be reconsidering the appraisal. The appraisal would have been better completed had it been run through a computer program, or maybe just consulted with zillow. Tom Bryant was slow, unaware, and unprofessional, and unable to complete an accurate appraisal. I in the future will never work with Tom Bryant again. Should Tom Bryant be assigned to the sale of a home, whether representing the buyer or seller, I will object and insist on a different appraiser. There are good appraisers who take their job seriously, and take pride in their work... and then theres, Tom Bryant. Not just disappointed but utterly speechless.
