Rate and Review WALZ Appraisal Services

This appraiser will be reported to the State Board for his demonstrated lack of ability to accurately appraise houses. In looking at his reviews, I'm not the only person to report this. Mr. Walz used non-comparable house in his appraisal (2-3 bedroom versus 4, smaller square footage, and smaller lots). He also mis-marked the garage as a 2 vs. 2.5 car garage. Within the immediate area there were 6-10 recently sold comparable homes 3 on our block and the rest within a 4-5 block area that sold for 10-$25k higher then his appraisal. I would consider this appraisal, his lack of judgment, as well as falsifying facts regarding the sale of a house on our block to be fraudulent in nature. I would highly suggest avoiding Walz Appraisal and/or prohibit the use of their services with prospective buyers given the demonstrated lack in ability to appraise houses.
