commentBob appraised our home recently. Our purchase price was $187,500 and the cost approach would have appraised our home at 191k. He chose a comp approach that appraised the home at $180k, obviously below our agreed upon price. OK fine, we bought our house for $227k in 2008 so we were ready to take a hit and knew it would be lower. However, the same house within a mile away WITHOUT a garage appraised for $240k within 6 months AND the comps he used in our neighborhood were all 3 bed 1.5 baths without garages vs. our 3 bed, 2 baths with a full two car garage with an unfinished room above. If you Google Bob, you can find articles showing his agenda for lower home values. He is a poor excuse for a real estate professional and should hear your feedback.
